Views of the Costa Brava
The peace of the hilly hinterland of the Costa Brava and the proximity of the sea and the beach are the perfect ingredients for a relaxing camping holiday! The camping pitches are located on terraces at Mas Patoxas campsite, so whichever pitch you are on will always have lovely views of the woods and towards the sea. The historic town of Pals, one of Costa Brava’s loveliest towns, is within walking distance. You are a fifteen minute drive from the sea, but you can also enjoy wonderful swimming at the campsite.
Every convenience provided
Mas Patoxas campsite is a spaciously laid out terraced campsite with plenty of trees There are wide paths with touring pitches at one end of the campsite. Mobile homes and bungalows have their own section. The campsite attracts a large number of families who like to come back, which is not surprising when you see the two large swimming pools. And the same goes for the many sports facilities and super-fun entertainment. You won’t need to leave the campsite to do your shopping.
If you don’t feel like cooking, make your way to the restaurant terrace in the evening. Meat, fish, paella or fries, there’s plenty of choice for everyone. Playground equipment is provided throughout the campsite. Teenagers can meet each other at the billiards and the table tennis, and plenty of things are organised in the summer months; a miniclub for the youngest, a disco or foam party for the teenagers and performances for the adults. There is even a doctor’s post during the summer.
Small bays and long beaches
Swimming and sunbathing, a holiday on the Costa Brava is not complete without it. Spend your days lazing on the campsite and enjoy the swimming pools. Mas Patoxas campsite has two of them and there is also a paddling pool. One of the large pools has a slide and a lovely lawn with palm trees. There is also plenty to do around the campsite. If you want to get a bit further away, there is plenty to explore along the coast. The beach at Pals is close by and is one of the longest on the Costa Brava. The wide stretch of golden sand is perfect for all types of beach games. One side of the beach looks out onto the Medes Islands and the other side has views of marshland or rice fields. Further along the coast it becomes more rugged, with cliffs and small bays. This makes a nice change.
A tourist train through the rice fields
Mas Patoxas campsite forms part of the Montgrí nature reserve, the Medes Islands and the mouth of the River Ter. You can go hiking in the woods of the Montgrí Massif from the campsite. The region around Pals is renowned for the cultivation of rice in the marshland just inland from the coast. You can explore this region by bike, on foot or on a small tourist train. In addition to Pals there are many other picturesque villages worth visiting from Mas Patoxas campsite.
