Holiday paradise in the Drenthe woods

Spend a holiday in Drenthe with the whole family at an attractive family park with an (indoor) leisure pool. Whether you want to go bowling, play mini golf, play in an indoor playground or try archery during your holiday, it's all possible at Roompot Holiday Park Hunzedal. Because there is so much to do, this is a perfect holiday park for both young families and families with older children.

Fun in the water all year round

Roompot Holiday Park Hunzedal is located in Borger in the province of Drenthe. You can enjoy your holiday at this park with your own camping equipment, but there are also several accommodation choices. You can, for example, sleep in a luxurious safari tent, a comfortable bungalow or a chalet. The camping pitches and rental accommodation are located in the forest and close to the recreational lake. This is a wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful weather and swim in the lake, especially in the summer. But there is plenty of water fun even when the weather is bad. The indoor leisure pool is open all year round.

Activities for the whole family

There are plenty of things for the family to do at the park. Something is organised for all ages and (almost) all activities are free of charge. For the youngest guests there is an indoor playground where they can enjoy themselves. There is also plenty to do in the adventure hall. You can do archery, climbing or try to find the exit out of the underground maze. If you prefer to go bowling or play mini-golf, you don't have to leave the holiday park for this either. Round off the day with a bite to eat in the à la carte restaurant, or get something tasty from the snack bar to eat at your accommodation.

Roompot Rangers

If you are between 4 and 11 years old and between 1.10 and 1.60 metres in height, you can become a Roompot Ranger. Get behind the wheel of a real jeep and drive over the challenging course. An official ceremony is organised at the park as a reward for the young drivers; an experience they will remember for a long time.

Hune beds and Tree Top Walk

There are plenty of things to do in the area around Roompot Holiday Park Hunzedal. Drenthe is the province of the dolmen burial tombs and the Dolmen Center is less than 3 kilometres from the holiday park. There is also plenty of beautiful countryside. Drouwenerzand nature reserve is 7 kilometres from the park and here you can take the most beautiful walks across the heathland. The amusement park of the same name, suitable for young children, is also close by. The Tree Top Walk (Boomkroonpad) is recommended if you are not afraid of heights. Walk along a 125-metre-long path between the treetops of the Drenthe forest. The highest point of the route is 22.5 metres. Are you brave enough?
