Balatontourist Camping & Bungalows Füred is a lovely big campsite on Lake Balaton in Hungary. Lake Balaton, with a length of 80 kilometres and an average width of 8 kilometres, is the biggest lake in West and Central Europe.

The campsite is located in the tourist town of Balatonfüred on the northwest side of the lake. Balatontourist Camping & Bungalows Füred is a large campsite with many guests and many activities, but there is plenty of room for everybody to enjoy the sun on the grass by the shore of the lake. The water here is not very deep, making it a safe place to swim, even for children. There is a small beach close by where they can play.

Excellent standard of amenities

This campsite in Hungary has a lovely modern swimming pool with a separate shallow section and a smaller water slide. The grounds of this family campsite are level and divided into marked out pitches. The amenities are first rate, with a large supermarket, good toilet and washing facilities, a sauna, a playground, various places to eat and bars. You will find plenty of sports facilities at Balatontourist Camping & Bungalows Füred including a tennis court, volleyball field, miniature golf and table tennis.

From Tihany to Budapest

Sightseeing boats depart from Balatonfüred. The nearby Tihany headland is also good to visit. Anyone who goes camping in Hungary should visit a wine tasting or try some of Hungary's delicious regional produce. A trip to the capital Budapest is a romantic journey back in time, although the city doesn't only boast old palaces and castles along the Danube, but also has modern, trendy shops.

Der Campingplatz, wo Hunde erlaubt sind ist toll. Die Sanitäranlagen ebenfalls.
Aber der ohne Hunde ist meiner Meinung nach stark in die Jahre gekommen.

Campinglage ist ganz schön. Die Duschen sind für den heißen Sommer zur heiß, ( man konnte die Duschen nicht kalt einstellen ).

Der Campingplatz ist sehr gepflegt, alle Mitarbeiter sind motiviert es den Gästen so angenehm wie möglich zu machen.

Wir waren im August 2023 11 Tage auf diesem sehr schönen Platz. Verpflegung, Kiosk, Personal und der Seezugang perfekt. Je nach Kategorie sind die Stellplätze bis zu 120qm groß.
Das Wasser war sehr gut, nur leicht trüb, was aber normal ist für den Balaton. Die Sanitäranlagen sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es wird ständig gereinigt. Fazit: Wir buchen für 2024 wieder.

Die sanitären Anlagen lassen in der Sauberkeit als auch in der Qualität sehr zu wünschen übrig. Oftmals auch kein warm Wasser. Das müsste dringend modernisiert werden. Ansonsten die Plätze okay.
