Campsite Germany

Many campsites in Germany offer WiFi internet access, so you can relax while you browse the internet. Great for planning your next day out or for the kids to play online games and keep their Facebook account up-to-date. Or perhaps they'd prefer to go swimming in the swimming pool or run around in the play area - children are well catered for on campsites in Germany. So no one would blame you for spending the day on the campsite, but a little farther afield, Germany offers plenty to enjoy on a camping holiday, such as the stunning German nature reserves.

Camping in nature

Germany has various lovely natural areas where you are guaranteed a wonderful, well-deserved camping holiday. Suncamp holidays have prepared a selection of the natural areas that are well worth a visit:

• The Black Forest
  Camping in the Black Forest, or the Schwarzwald, is camping in the largest woodlands in Germany. The sport orientated camper will certainly have enough to do in this beautiful camping area. Additionally the thermal baths, like Baden-Baden and Badweiler, will ensure you have a wonderfully relaxing holiday.
• The Eifel
  In this natural area north of the River Mosel you can find wonderful forests, hills and crater lakes within the vicinity of the campsites. The Eifel, also called ‘Little Switzerland’ borders Belgium and South Limburg and is extremely popular with hikers and nature enthusiasts.
• Sauerland
  You can drive from most of the Channel ports to a campsite in Sauerland within a day. In this hilly region of Central Germany you can enjoy typical German hospitality with tasty food and a delicious German beer. There are also plenty of cycling and hiking routes for the more athletic nature lover.
• The Bavarian Forest
  The largest woods in Central Europe are in the province of Bavaria in Southern Germany. Due to its wonderful nature, it is often called ‘the green roof of Europe’. A wonderful region to camp in!

Berlin

The German capital is a truly special place. Its recent history is hard to miss, but there's nevertheless a feeling of welcoming freedom. And it's not only the atmosphere that helps the city to shine, its buildings are stunning too, the Brandenburg Gate and Berlin Cathedral to name but two. You can also enjoy some of the best street art and a bustling nightlife.

As well as nature, Germany has a wide selection of culture on offer. From Berlin to Keulen and from Munich to Hamburg, you can enjoy the typical German atmosphere. Germany also has many beautiful cities and authentic villages which are well worth a visit. The excellent road network in Germany brings the distances closer together. A motoring holiday in Germany is thus also a very popular choice.
