Camping Koawa Les Gorges du Chambon is located on the edge of the Charente, Dordogne and Périgord. You holiday in a beautiful wooded area with many hills. Here you will enjoy beautiful views over vast fields. The campsite is located between the woods. With lots of shady spots, this location is very nice in the summer months. At this campsite everything is possible and nothing is obligatory.
Swimming fun in the water park and river
.Water lovers will enjoy the water park. There is a heated outdoor pool and a separate pool for children. Children with swimming certificates will spend most of the day at the water slides. These are unmissable as they tower above everything. Swimming fun guaranteed! Relax on the sun loungers by the pool. Do you prefer swimming in natural waters? There is a river about 300 metres from the campsite. Here you can float around coolly under the trees.
.Hiking and playing
.If you fancy something other than swimming, there are plenty of other activities at and around Camping Koawa Les Gorges du Chambon. Hikers will also feel like kings in the area around the campsite. Lovely walking routes take you through forests and over the hills. Cycling is also good here. Children can alternate the swimming pool or the river with the playground. In high season, the kids' club joins in. Sports-wise, there is plenty to do. You can choose from badminton, table tennis, beach volleyball and mini golf.
Land of cognac
It's great to go out for dinner once in a while during your holiday. Even better if you don't have to drive far to do so. Take a seat on the lovely terrace at Les Gorges du Chambon camp site for an evening meal. During your dinner you will enjoy a beautiful view over the valley. Perhaps you will have a cognac at the end of your meal. The Charente is famous for this. Want to cook for yourself? You can go to the campsite shop for smaller groceries. There is a supermarket in the village of Montbron (7 km) for more extensive shopping.
.The Venice of the Périgord
.After all the sporting activities you might fancy a day of culture. You don't have to go far. The Château de la Rochefoucauld (20 km) is half an hour's drive away. This castle was already being built in the Middle Ages. To visit a beautiful city, go to Brantôme. This place is also called the Venice of the Périgord. Here you can take a boat trip on the river Dronne. An hour's drive from the campsite is the Cornille Aventure park. Here you can tree climb, play mini-golf and play laser tag outdoors. Your kids will appreciate a day out like this.
