A holiday fit for a king
You will be spending your holiday close to La Roche-sur-Yon, the capital of Vendée. Château La Forêt campsite is located just twelve kilometres from the French coast. You will be camping here on the 50 hectare estate of a 19th century castle. A fitting location for a royal holiday in France.Swimming near the castle
There is a swimming pool on each side of the castle. On one side you can take a dip in the indoor pool, where you will also find a water slide. If you prefer to swim with the sun on your face, jump into the outdoor pool. Wherever you swim, you will always have views of that beautiful castle at Château La Forêt campsite. You can also go to the beach for the day! A twenty minute drive from the campsite will take you to the wide beaches at Bretignolles-sur-Mer.Feel like royalty
Want to take part in a paintball competition in the woods? Or maybe the children want to go pony riding? You will feel like royalty in the extensive grounds of Camping Yelloh! Village Château La Forêt. Crazy about fishing? Lucky you, because the campsite has a couple of large, private fishing lakes. If you’re in luck you will see your children whizz past, as there is a cableway above one of the lakes, which the more adventurous can try out. A game of football on the football pitch is also possible.A royal treatment
Muscle pain after all that playing? Get rid of it with a massage in the wellness room. You’ll get royal treatment there. After that you can all go to the old inner courtyard for a delicious meal. With the beautifully illuminated castle at Château La Forêt campsite as a backdrop, everything is even more beautiful. And tastier. A quiz or a live concert in the open air will add something extra to the long summer evenings.Sleep in a safari tent
The castle’s large estate is in a big forest. There are a couple of bright yellow safari tents among the trees, where five people can get a wonderful night’s sleep. The tent has a kitchen with cooking equipment and a fridge, perfect if you like to do your own cooking on the campsite.Sables-d’Olonne en La Roche-sur-Yon
You can go in any direction for a trip out. Drive to the coast and you will arrive in Les Sables-d’Olonne, where you can enjoy looking round the harbour. Be sure to take the children to the zoo. You can also admire the animals in La Roche-sur-Yon, half an hour’s drive away. There is a large horse breeder, Haras de la Vendée, in the centre. You can go on a guided tour through the stables, to the saddle makers and in the coaches. Quite special!
