Thinking about camping in the French Jura? Lucky you! Camping Domaine de l’Épinette is located in Châtillon, right in the heart of the lake district and surrounded by forests. Where will you take your first dive—into the swimming pool or the river?
Take a refreshing dip in the river that runs alongside the campsite, or explore it by canoe. Splash around with the whole family in the water park, featuring two heated pools and fun water slides. There’s even a special toddler pool for the little ones.
It’s no surprise that so many happy campers return to this Jura campsite. Not in the mood for a swim? From the pool area, complete with a spacious sunbathing lawn and comfy loungers, you can enjoy stunning views of the lake and the wooded hills beyond.
Planning a camping holiday with the kids? You’ve come to the right place! The kids’ club offers plenty of fun activities during the high season, from crafts and games to nature exploration. Your little campers will never get bored here!
Start the day together with a delicious French breakfast—fresh baguettes from the campsite shop. Who’s choosing a croissant, and who’s going for a pain au chocolat? Or why not treat yourself to both? After all, it’s holiday time! In the evening, whip up a tasty meal at one of the communal barbecue areas, where you're sure to meet fellow campers—many of them Dutch. Who knows? You might make some new friends over the glowing coals! Prefer something different? The campsite also has a pizza vending machine, serving up hot, tasty pizzas 24/7.
You’ll know you’re in the Jura as soon as you set foot on the campsite. As a terraced campsite, no two spots are the same, but each one offers a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape!
Get out and explore the Jura together! Swim, water ski, surf, or sail near the waterfalls and beaches, or cast a line in the Ain River. You can also relax on the pebble beach along the riverbank. Prefer to stay active? Hop on a bike and ride through the hills or put on your hiking boots and head to Lake Chalain (6 km) for a day of splashing and fun. And don’t forget to taste some local specialties—raclette is a must-try, best enjoyed with a glass of regional wine.
As you head toward Switzerland, the Jura landscape becomes even more mountainous—perfect for an adventure! Love city trips? In just an hour and a half (110 km), you can reach Dijon. Or cross the Swiss border and visit Geneva (95 km).
Bringing an electric car to this campsite? Smart thinking! Camping Domaine de l’Épinette is committed to sustainability and provides an on-site charging station for electric vehicles.
