French hospitality on the beaches on Southern Brittany
Endless fun swimming in the water park or in the Atlantic waves.
There are countless characteristic fishing villages on the extensive Breton coast. You will also find Camping Sandaya Le Kérou next to the fishing villages in the Clohars Carnoët region. In just a two hundred metre walk from the sea, you will already be standing with your feet in the warm sand. The campsite has a large water park with two slides for a day full of swimming fun, and the children will amuse themselves for hours with the enthusiastic entertainment team. You can enjoy a summer cocktail or a tasty snack at the end of the day on the lively terrace at this friendly family campsite.
Campsite on the northern coast of France
Camping Sandaya Le Kérou is located between the coastal town of Finistère and the lively resort of Pouldu. This area in the Gulf of Morbihan is the most westerly part of France. In just a couple of minutes’ walk you will be standing with your feet in the clear water of the Atlantic. The beautiful rock formations of Plage de Bellangenet and Plage des Grands Sables are close to the campsite. The views there are fantastic!
Fun in the water all day
Start the day around the slide or go straight to the beach at Plage du Kérou after breakfast? You can walk to this fine sandy beach from the campsite. Build sandcastles together, go paddling, and lie in the sun with the sound of the waves in the background, isn’t that just wonderful! The campsite has a slide and indoor swimming pool especially for toddlers, so they can also have carefree fun in the water. And when the weather is fine the swimming pool roof can be left open.
Games and sports outdoors
Camping Sandaya Le Kérou is one step ahead for young people. In addition to the large bouncy castle and the jolly climbing frames, the youngest holidaymakers can join in with the dance sessions, face painting and treasure hunts. Sports competitions and themed evenings are organised for older children. And how about an archery lesson? That really is fun. Meanwhile you can relax completely in the private sauna with hammam and steam bath.
Secrets from the ocean
One of the big advantages of a holiday in Southern Finistère is that you can go in any direction for a day out. A visit to Oceanopolis in the town of Brest is great for the children. They will be immersed in the underwater world of otters, seals and sharks in this fascinating theme park. Closer to the campsite you can stroll past the stalls of the weekly market in Pouldu, which offer delicacies from around the region.
Step ashore on the granite island
Did you know that Brittany’s 1700 kilometre long coast has a wealth of small islands? Don’t miss one of the loveliest islands close to the campsite. Within a half hour drive from the campsite you can take the boat in Lorient to the island of Groix. After a pleasant crossing you will be in the small harbour at Port Tudy and the adventure can begin. The best way around this granite island, the nickname for Groix, is on a rented bike.
