Located in the Dalmatia region, Šibenik is a city steeped in history. There are plenty of churches and palaces in the medieval city centre. The Cathedral of St. James is on the Unesco World Heritage list and is highly recommendable as a place to visit from your campsite. Šibenik is all-in all, an enchanting city.

If you want to go shopping whilst staying at your campsite then Sibenik has a large, modern shopping centre that will keep you occupied all day. You will also find many more wonderful cities in the vicinity of your campsite in Šibenik:

  • Harbour town, Primosten
    This picturesque harbour town is the ideal place to taste genuine Croatian cuisine in the vicinity of your campsite. Primosten has plenty of lovely cafes and restaurants.
  • Coastal village, Zablace
    The sea at Zablace is perfect for surfing. The old fishermen’s houses also make this a place worth visiting when staying at your campsite. Zablace also has an ancient pine wood forest if you want to go for a lovely hike.

Natural beauty close to your campsite

If you enjoy hiking in the beautiful countryside during your holiday then Šibenik is located near an exceptionally beautiful National park, you will always find this park in the vicinity of your campsite. Krka is a park as well as a river where you can spend a relaxed afternoon fishing. You will definitely have a great time amidst the beautiful forests, cliffs and water falls.

Stayed on Amadria Park Camping Šibenik in Šibenik in July 2018

Although the area is fairly quiet, local supermarkets are 5/10 minutes away in the car and there’s a shopping centre, restaurant and McDonalds. Sibenik is a short drive away owning beautiful architecture, harbour and restaurants but not great for shopping.

Beautiful area with friendly locals. Krka and Kornati National Parks were amazing. Great weather and the coastal view was fantastic. We took a book trip and were lucky enough to see dolphins!

Everything was in walking distance from our campsite, the only negative was lack of evening entertainment when we stayed

Beautiful location, but a distance from anywhere which was difficult without a car, the bus ran every 3 hours!!!!

We were very near the beaches, coastline is stunning. The scenery around the region is lovely and we really enjoyed our trip to Sibenik and Krka National Park.
