Campsites with a swimming paradise

Into the pool, out of the pool; and whoosh, back in again. Children and swimming pools are the ultimate combination, they can play there for hours. There are of course many campsites with a swimming pool, some even have a thrilling slide, but there are also campsites where you will find yourself in a true swimming paradise.

In this blog you can read more about campsites in Europe with large water parks. We have selected a few to put them in the spotlight. Here, you and your children will experience a truly splashing holiday.

Campsites in Italy with a water park

Campsite Pra’delle Torri has constructed a massive swimming pool complex. Children will be occupied for hours playing in the pirate boat in the pool and on the slides for both small and large children. Furthermore, there is an Olympic-size pool for you if you fancy swimming some lengths.

The water park at Campsite Piani di Clodia has no fewer than seven pools! There are eight big slides in the water paradise. The smaller children can also have a great time because six slides have been installed for the youngest campers. Let yourself be carried away on the rapids and if you want to release all that adrenaline, jump into one of the three hot tubs for total relaxation.

Campsite Village Marina di Venezia is on the Adriatic Coast. Aqua Marina Park is the campsite’s extremely large water park. This aqua park with no fewer than 10 (!) pools has a surface area covering 15,000 m2. Children can play in the fantasy castle with its eight slides, there is a lagoon, a wave pool, even more high and thrilling slides, hydro-massages and lots more for hours of enjoyment in the water.

French campsites with water slides

Perhaps the largest water park at a French campsite can be found at Campsite Domaine le Pommier. Have a go on the ‘Halfpipe’ where you slide down a 67 metre long winding slide on an inflatable tyre. Or the ‘Aqualoop’ where the floor falls from under your feet and you drop down in an upright position. And let’s not forget the ‘Turbo Cyclone’, a slide where you are submerged in light effects and you come out in a super funnel to then fall through ‘the black hole’.

At Campsite Sequoia Park the water park is situated in the middle of a green oasis. There are various slides, waterfalls, hot tubs and playing equipment. It is great fun going through the rapids on an inflatable tyre.

The final campsite in France on this list is Campsite Yelloh! Village Les Mouettes. Relax in the bubble bath or get your adrenaline going. There are three large slides and at this campsite you can ride on the rapids on an inflatable tyre. In 2017, a water playground is being constructed for the younger children with slides and playing equipment spurting jets of water.

Swimming paradises at campsites in Slovenia

You may not automatically think of Slovenia as a holiday destination when it comes to large water paradises, but think again! At Campsite Terme Catez you will find an enormous water paradise. A pirate ship, playing equipment, massive slides and hot tubs provide hours of fun playing. Among other things, there is the Lazy River, where you ride the rapids on an inflatable tyre, which provides the requisite thrills. It is not only the young children who will be entertained for hours here, youths and adults will also enjoy themselves to the full.

At Campsite Terme 3000 Moravske Toplice Spa there are many wellness facilities and thermal baths with special mineral water, but that is not all. There are several spectacular water slides. From the 22 metre high tower, you can go down the various slides, the one faster and steeper than the other. Your heart will start racing faster when you see the Aqualoop and Kamikaze.

Dutch campsites with a swimming paradise

In contrast to Slovenia as a little known holiday destination, Duinrell amusement park is a popular attraction among the Dutch. The Duinrell Holiday and Amusement park (Duinrell campsite) is located next to the popular amusement park. Campers staying there from April to October get free admission to the amusement park. Camping guests also get a discounted rate for the tropical swimming pool: the Tikibad.

In the subtropical swimming paradise at Oostappen Holiday Park Prinsenmeer children can play to their heart’s content in the pool, toddler pool and baby pool. There is even a slide with lights and sound. And if the weather is nice, you can go down the high slide outside. The slides come out in a large recreational lake.

Not in the Netherlands but just over the border in Belgium is where you will find Oostappen Holiday Park Hengelhoef. This campsite also belongs on this list. The campsite has a large subtropical swimming pool with a wild water ride, a wave pool and slides.
