EuroParcs Hoge Kempen is located near the Hoge Kempen National Park, Belgium’s only national park. There’s plenty to experience in the surroundings of this luxurious wooded holiday park. The National Park with its dark green woods, vast heathland and reflecting pools invites you to go out and explore. Fill your lungs with fresh air and go on an adventure!
Brand new spray park
Besides plenty of natural beauty, there is also a lot of water fun, with a brand new spray park. The children can enjoy themselves for hours in this water playground. For a dip in the water you can head to 't Soete Dal pool. This outdoor swimming pool is located opposite the campsite and is free of charge for campsite guests during the summer months. There is a separate paddling pool and a large sunbathing area where you can enjoy the sunshine with the whole family. For water sports enthusiasts the nearby Papendaal Lake is the place to go. Here you can sail, surf and fish. If you prefer to have a lesson first, sailing and surfing lessons are available. The entertainment team and the mini club ensure that there is something fun to do at the campsite in high season.
Fresh bread every day
There’s no rush in the mornings, because the bread service will deliver your breakfast to your tent. The campsite shop will supply your basic needs. For larger purchases there is a large Carrefour supermarket in Zutendaal, or you will find an Aldi or Lidl in Genk.
Trips out in the vicinity
A holiday at EuroParcs Hoge Kempen will appeal to the whole family. There are numerous fun activities whenever the sun is shining. Take part in a treasure hunt or get on a horse for a wonderful ride through the countryside. The Barefoot Path in Zutendaal is a great trip out for the whole family, and you can all walk and clamber through sand, mud, stones and water. It’s a really natural experience! Bad weather won’t throw a spanner in the works, because Plopsa Indoor Hasselt is just a 20 minute drive away, and Maasmechelen Outlet Village is great for a shopping day when it’s cold or wet. Attractive towns and cities close by include Genk, Hasselt, Bilzen, Tongeren and Maastricht; great for shopping or a gastronomic day out.
