General information
Comfortable camping amid the countryside: it's possible!
Camping in surroundings you usually only see on postcards. Enjoy the fresh mountain air and fragrant pines when in the swimming pond at Sonnenplateau Camping Gerhardhof. Completely unwind with yoga while the children frolic in the children's forest. After all that relaxation, enjoy a home-smoked fillet of trout. Sonnenplateau Camping Gerhardhof offers you rest and luxury with respect for the countryside. In fact, it inspires the campsite.
The best of Tyrol
Sonnenplateau Camping Gerhardhof is surrounded by Tyrol's natural beauty. Here, you are amid the pine forests and look out over the spectacular mountain tops of the sunny Mieminger Plateau. Here, you feel how wonderful it is to enjoy a holiday in the countryside. And that is exactly what the campsite owners want: enjoying a carefree holiday in the pristine countryside!
Natural swimming
The water in the swimming lake comes from its own source and is cleaned with a biological filter system. That means no chlorine in your eyes after your swim! If you want even more fun in the water, you can go to the recreational lake in Untermieming. You will find playground equipment for the children here. We also recommend Telfer Bad. It has all kinds of different types of saunas. Untermieming and Telfer Bad are both within 10 kilometres of the campsite. Perfect for a day of fun in the water.
Forests and mountain tops
Your children can entertain themselves throughout the day in the playground, the children's forest or at the stables. In the meantime, you can unwind in the yoga forest. Once you have had enough relaxation, explore the forest by foot or bike. Challenge yourself to a tough mountain tour. Or take an easy route and go on an adventure with the whole family. The landscape has something for everyone.
Tyrolean delicacies
After a day of relaxation or a brisk walk, you'll probably not be in the mood to cook. Go to the Gasthaus for a delicious Tyrolean pub meal. Of course, you won't be going out to eat every day. Fortunately, you don't have to leave the campsite for your daily groceries. Here, they have a special shop where you can also get Tyrolean specialities.
Adventure Area 47
Dare devils and adrenaline junkies take note! As a guest at Sonnenplateau Camping Gerhardhof, you get a discount on tickets to Area 47. This is an adventure park where you can try out all kinds of extreme sports. Launch yourself down the large water slide. Drop from a bridge on a large swing. If you have ever wanted to go rafting, abseiling, wakeboarding or explore caves, this is the place to be!
Innsbruck in the Alps
Besides valleys and mountains, Tyrol also has many picturesque mountain villages. And a visit to Innsbruck is certainly worth your while too. Culture fans must take a look at the old city centre and at Emperor Maximilian I's famous gold roof. For a day out with the children, Alpine Zoo Innsbruck is 'animaltastic' fun. And don't forget to take a ride on the cable car. You will be amid the peaks of the Alps within 20 minutes!
