The Grebbelinie: natural defence

Recreatiepark De Lucht is located exactly between the Veluwe and the Utrechte Heuvelrug. There is almost no better place for a campsite in nature. Over the Utrecht countryside you drive past farms to the campsite. Nice to know: Recreatiepark De Lucht is situated right next to the Grebbelinie. This is a defensive structure in which nature plays a major role. The enemies were stopped by flooding the landscape. The Grebbelinie runs all the way from the IJsselmeer to the Rhine near Rhenen.

Swimming pool and fishpond: water in abundance

Right in the middle of the campsite is the biggest crowd-puller: the swimming pool. Not surprising that you will find many young camping guests here. Because whether the weather is nice or not, you can swim there. The sliding roof ensures that you only get wet from the pool water. Do you like water and total peace and quiet? Between the trees there is a large fishpond and a few streams. Here you will always find a quiet spot. Although the children can also build little dams here. As if you were on a campsite in France.

Nature as the largest playground

Forests, sandy plains and lawns: nature is the largest playground here. Also fun: on the campsite there is an educational forest with all kinds of educational games. Children can still have fun in the open air. But of course there are plenty of play equipment to climb on. Young animal lovers will also find their place here. With roe deer, goats and even horses, there are plenty of animals to pet. Are they tired of playing? Then the whole family can have a bite to eat in restaurant De Gasterij.

Luxury spots in the greenery

Are you going on a camping holiday with your own caravan? Then you can camp very nicely in the green. But you can also opt for the luxury of a large caravan tent. Here you have everything at hand: kitchen, hammock and delicious beds. And yet you get the real camping feeling. In a villa tent you also stand on a spot between bushes and trees.

Out and about with your clogs on

In the vicinity of Recreatiepark De Lucht there are all kinds of 'clog paths'. Don't be afraid: you don't have to wear your wooden shoes. These walking routes are so called because they mainly take you along unpaved paths. You can walk along towpaths, church paths, even farm paths through the meadows. Often you come to places where you can only walk. Please note: dogs stay at home, because sometimes you walk on private property. And make sure you wear good shoes, because the paths can sometimes be muddy.
