Lake Maggiore is located in the north of Italy, in the border area with Switzerland. This beautiful lake is an ideal destination for a summer holiday on the waterfront. This Italian campsite is located directly on the shore of the lake, so Lake Maggiore is always at your feet. Have a lie down on the sandy beach or grassy meadow and just enjoy hearing the sounds around you. Enjoy the sun, the water and the beautiful view of the mountains.

Safe swimming in the lake

The beach at Camping Village Lago Maggiore slopes down very slowly, so there is a lot of shallow water, making the lake ideal for splashing around with small children. If you go further from the shore, you’ll find its also a great place to swim. Rent a canoe or sailboat to explore the lake. Or put on some water skis for a water sports adventure. Would you rather swim in a pool? You can swim laps in the fine competition pool at Camping Village Lago Maggiore.

An Italian pizza, or a burger at the beach bar?

Little children will love the playground at Camping Village Lago Maggiore. The playhouse with its slides and crazy spherical climbing frames provide hours of fun. You can also play a game of tennis or football together on the sports fields. Dinner with the whole family? The restaurant on the campsite serves Italian cuisine, so it’s a great place to enjoy some pizza. In the beach bar at the lake you can order a hamburger with fries. Afterwards you can dance or do some disco swimming in the dark.

Breathtaking view over Lake Maggiore

The charming and ancient Arona is a five-minute drive away. Here you can admire the large statue of Carolus Borromeus. Tip: take the spiral staircase to the top of the statue. If you drive a little further north, you'll arrive in Stresa. Here, a cable car will take you to the top of the Mottarone. This mountain is 1500 meters high. A breathtaking view over Lake Maggiore awaits you. And what about a day in the city? Then Milan, an hour's drive away, is the perfect destination.

Camping ligt vlakbij het meer, je kan op uitstap gaan naar Stresa (eilandjes bezoeken is een aanrader) of naar Milaan (een uur met de trein). De camping zelf is netjes, het personeel vriendelijk. Een groot nadeel vonden wijzelf dat er s avonds/s nachts toch wel wat lawaai was...
Er is een grote supermarkt voor de camping wat heel handig is.

Netjes en schoon. Afwisselend. Goed restaurant, leuk entertainment. Mooie plek aan het meer. Maar wel onrustig door de vele doorreizigers

Couple

Badmuts op in een te klein zwembad, zou niet meer moeten. Ook betalen voor slechte WiFi niet meer van deze tijd. Camping netjes en goed onderhouden.

Nette camping met voldoende faciliteiten. Super gelegen aan het meer en eigen zwembad. Wij hadden tent met sanitair (er liggen hier ca 10 tenten van), super kwaliteit echter weinig ruimte rondom. Let op; de tenten 1-4 liggen tegenover sanitaire ruimte (achterkant) waardoor nogal wat geluidsoverlast maar niet onoverkomelijk.
